Ultra™ Miniature 10/100BASE-TX

HALO is pleased to announce the industry's first miniature SMD 10/100BASE-TX magnetic solution for real estate sensitive applications such as PC's, cable modems, and miniature hubs as well as most other Fast Ethernet applications.
The Ultra™ series, provides a single port IEEE802.3 compliant transformer/choke circuit in a small 16 pin SOIC package saving real estate and PCB reducing trace lengths. This new series provides the 350µH @ 8mA minimum inductance which is required to meet the baseline wander standard.
The 16 pin SOIC is a robust industry standard package providing excellent solder reflow results. The design implements short internal wire dressings compared with traditional single port solutions. These reduced distances improve crosstalk and return loss characteristics allowing for a higher performance circuit.
Turns ratios are available for all popular 10/100 ICÕs. The Ultra™ series is available from stock with volume lead time running 3-5 weeks. Customers should realize a 5-10% cost reduction over the standard single port solutions at all quantity breaks.
